EXTRAFLOCK N195 flocculant

EXTRAFLOCK™ flocculants belong to the group of polyacrylamides with the general formula (-CH2CHCONH2-) n.

EXTRAFLOCK™ flocculants are used when flushing sludge to increase sedimentation rate and better compaction.

They are an amorphous, water-soluble substance with a high molecular weight. The molecular weight of the EXTRAFLOCK™ flocculant is selected in order to achieve optimum productivity in terms of sedimentation and compaction rates during sludge washing.

FLOCCULANTS ALLOW:

  • increase the purity of the drains while minimizing the time of settling;
  • increase productivity without capital expenditures;
  • increase the efficiency of sludge compaction;
  • minimize the costs associated with pumping sludge.

EXTRAFLOCK™ flocculants are used in the extraction and flotation of minerals; during flocculation in the mining, chemical, coal, oil refining industries, ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, as well as in enterprises of the construction and pulp and paper industries and in the production of feed proteins, insecticides, etc.

For example, at the site of thickening of Demurinsky GOK LLC, industrial tests were carried out on the use of EXTRAFLOCK N195 flocculant for sedimentation and thickening of the clay fraction of recycled water entering the thickener of Demurinsky GOK LLC.

Flocculant EXTRAFLOCK N195 is an anionic type polyacrylamide in the form of a white crystalline powder. The flocculant solution was prepared at the standard ALEBRO MixLine 7300-4000 preparation station. The concentration of the flocculant solution in the first stage of preparation was 0.4%.

During the tests, the following process parameters were controlled:

  • flocculant consumption, l / h;
  • sludge pressure, bar;
  • sludge density, mbar;
  • concentration of clay fraction,%.

Based on the test data, the following conclusions are made:

  1. Flocculant EXTRAFLOCK N 195 produced by ODO “Pologovsky Chemical Plant“ Coagulant ”meets the technological requirements for the precipitation of the clay fraction of recycled water entering the thickener of LLC“ Demurinsky GOK ”.
  2. The specific costs of the flocculant EXTRAFLOCK N 195 amounted to 30-50 g / t of sludge.
  3. Technically feasible, the industrial use of the flocculant EXTRAFLOCK N 195 produced by “Pology Chemical Plant “Coagulant” ALC for sedimentation of the clay fraction of recycled water entering the thickener of “Demurinsky GOK ” LLC.
